After a rousing first run last year, the California Wine Institute (CWI), an association of California-based wineries and wine-related businesses, is bringing back their month-long celebration of all-things related to Californian vino with the return of California Wine Month in Singapore.
Taking place from June 1-30, expect over 30 participating restaurants, bars, gourmet stores, and even supermarkets that will be offering unique pairing dinners, wine flights, special promotions and more – all in a bid to showcase the bounty and diversity of Californian wines.
This second edition of California Wine Month will see the likes of Bedrock Origin offer a surf and turf menu packed with delectable seafood (think scallop and lobster tartare) and grilled meats (think olive fed wagyu striploin), to accompany wine flights from the Prisoner Wine Company.

Or head to Butcher’s Block at Raffles Hotel Singapore, where the Sommelier Flight offers a rare chance for connoisseurs to taste a range of bottlings from the lesser known region of Russian River by cult wine producer Dominus Estate.
Accessible and affordable options await at Deviate Wine Bar and Juice Wine Bar, where you’ll get to taste a good range of wines from California’s various winemaking regions such as Sonoma County, Napa Valley, and Los Carneros at great prices.
If you’re more interested in buying bottles home, wine shops such as Corney & Barrow and Grand Cru Wines, as well as online retailers such as LazMall will be offering special promotional prices and deals throughout the month of June.

And for the heartlanders among us, selected FairPrice supermarkets (including outlets at Centrepoint, Vivo City, Tampines Mall and more) will be offering weekend tastings and offers through July 5. Or simply purchase Californian wines easily via NTUC online.
There’s no better time to explore the multitude of labels offered by the USA’s biggest wine producing region. Head to California Wine Institute for more information about Californian wines, or check out their Facebook and Instagram pages for updates about California Wine Month.
