After a stellar debut last year, Changi Airport Group together with Lotte Duty Free has unveiled the second edition of World of Wines & Spirits (WOWS), an annual signature event showcasing only the finest and rarest wines and spirits in the market.
The exclusive event kicked off at the Capitol Theatre on Oct 28 to the theme of ‘An Epicurean Journey’, where guests were treated to an open bar of premium alcoholic beverages alongside fine canapes prepared by renowned chefs the likes of Dave Pynt and Rishi Naleendra.
There were also special performances taking place throughout the night, with thematic virtual voyages taking guests on a trip to Japan, Scotland, France, and Singapore. Specially prepared food and drinks were also served according to the country currently being showcased.
Surrounding guests on display were over 100 internationally-acclaimed fine liquor products sourced from more than 56 world-renowned brands such as The Macallan, Bowmore, Glenlivet, and Louis XIII, among many others.
Among the most expensive items sold included The Balvenie Tale of the Dog 46YO at S$29,500 and the Dalmore Cask Curation (a set of 3 bottles: Dalmore Cask Curation 43 Years Old Apostoles Sherry Cask Finish, Dalmore Cask Curation 26 Years Old Vintage Sherry Cask Finish, and Dalmore Cask Curation 28 Years Old Matusalem Sherry Cask Finish) at S$51,000.
The grand curation of premium fine liquor products will continue to be made available at tax and duty free prices through a dedicated WOWS site till February 2024.
