The largest number of participating bars yet at the 11th edition of Negroni Week

Negroni Week 2023

The annual international celebration for a good cause organised by Campari and Imbibe Magazine – Negroni Week – is back for its 11th edition. And over in Singapore, we’re seeing the largest ever pool of bars involved in the occasion with over 90 venues participating.

Taking place from Sep 18-24, Negroni Week 2023 is emphasising on the unbreakable connection between bartenders and the alcohol industry with this year’s theme: ‘The Power of Timeless Bonds’.

To send that message home, they’re teaming up with 14 of Singapore’s top bars and their bartenders to come up with a content series where they will share their personal insights and journeys through their career in the industry.

Bars and the bartenders involved include head bartender of Four Seasons One-Ninety Bar, Sophia Kang; head bartender of Plume, Jun Han; head bartender of Tess Bar & Kitchen, Christyne Lee; among many others.

Of course, Negroni Week is also all about the many Negroni variations that the bars will be offering during this period. A notable one we’ve tried is the Binary Byzantine (S$25), a chocolaty mezcal negroni variation by Chuan, head bartender of Night Hawk.

Or give Nuthin’ But a “G” Thang (S$24) by Naz, head bartender of Sago House, a go. The pink guava vermouth used in this negroni take gives it a supple fruitiness and alluring aroma, combining to form a highly addictive drink.

Negroni Week 2023 also has a full roster of events and partnerships happening. Not-to-be-missed is the Music Request Night Opening Party taking place at Offtrack on opening day, Sep 18. A live DJ set awaits, with each music request (S$10) seeing donations go to Offtrack’s chosen charity.

Mark your calendars for Red Night – The Official Negroni Week Closing Party too. Happening at Jungle Ballroom on Sep 24, that same night will see a guest shift by Nick Sourmpatis of The Clumsies (No.19 on the World’s 50 Best Bars list) taking place. A guest DJ, photo wall, and complimentary Campari swag will keep partygoers enthralled.

There are lots more happening. For a full lineup of participating bars, as well as the events and partnerships taking place, head to Negroni Week 2023’s official website.
