Oishii Kanpai returns for a World Sake Day special at Goodwood Park Hotel

Oishii Kanpai! 2022

The time has come once again for fans of Oishii Magazine’s annual sake extravaganza to gloriously imbibe and partake in a celebration of all-things nihonshu.

Oishii Kanpai, once again being held on World Sake Day (Oct 1) at the historic Goodwood Park Hotel, is turning the luxury property’s lobby cafe L’Espresso into a festival ground filled with feasting, performances, and of course, drinking and appreciation of sake.

Expect a wide variety of sake to be available free-flow all evening. If you chance upon an expression you fancy, you can even purchase bottles of sake on the spot to bring home. A buffet spread of savoury and sweet dishes by the hotel’s culinary team will also keep your tummies filled while you drink.

A highlight has got to be the Wakaido performance, where traditional Japanese drummers will kick-off the event with a high energy, rousing display. Later in the night, a live video stream to Japan will also take place, encouraging everyone to participate in an international toast, or kanpai, together.

Be sure to stay till the end. Keeping the excitement going is a lucky draw to round off the night, before a partaking of an ippon jime, to end the festival on a happy and positive note.

Oishii Kanpai is held at L’Espresso, Goodwood Park Hotel, from 6.30pm-10pm on Oct 1. Tickets, available online, are S$180 nett for adults and S$80 nett for children between the ages of 13 and 17. Tickets can also be purchased on-site at S$200 nett per person.
