The producers of Tanqueray London Dry Gin has released the new Tanqueray 0.0%, an alcohol-free product made using the same blend of botanicals as its flagship.
Touted as having all the taste but without the alcohol, expect notes of juniper, coriander, angelica and liquorice in this completely non-alcoholic beverage.

Terry Fraser, Tanqueray’s master distiller, explains the making of it in a media release: “Created by distilling the same botanicals used in Tanqueray London Dry Gin, the botanicals are individually immersed in water, heated and then distilled before being expertly blended together to capture the essence of Tanqueray in a delicious alcohol-free alternative.
“This special distillation process is a closely guarded secret, known only to a handful of people, and we are incredibly proud to be bringing gin drinkers that juniper- and citrus-led taste they’re expecting from Tanqueray when they choose not to drink alcohol.”
The release was careful not to call the Tanqueray 0.0% an alcohol-free gin, though the addition of juniper will definitely remind drinkers of the piney white spirit.
With regards to the taste, Fraser adds: “The liquid has a flavour that shines through in sophisticated cocktails and when mixed with classic tonic water, meaning you do not have to compromise on quality and taste if you choose not to consume alcohol.”

Tanqueray 0.0% is also being promoted as being low-calorie, containing just 6kcals per 50ml serving.
The alcohol-free Tanqueray also sports a very similar-looking green bottle design akin to the ubiquitous Tanqueray London Dry Gin.
It will hit store shelves from March 2021 in Spain and the UK, with a suggested retail price of £16 (S$25) per 700ml bottle. It has not been announced when or if it will be available in Asia and other parts of the world.
Tanqueray is distributed by Diageo.
