Thirty Six Brewlab and Smokehouse, a taproom and restaurant by the folks behind craft beer brand Lion Brewery Co, is now offering tours of their microbrewery in Singapore.
The brewery tours (S$80/person) are being offered as a fun way to give beer lovers a chance to learn more about the brewing process behind Lion Brewery Co’s experimental brewlab, while at the same time expanding their knowledge of craft beers and getting to taste them too.
We especially appreciate the interaction you get with the brewmaster during the tour. Though the 500L capacity brewery is small (you’re able to see the entire manufacturing floor in one glance), it’s the brewer’s wealth of knowledge and experience that makes the experience insightful. Just try asking him the weirdest ingredient he has ever used.
Touring the brewing area is also the perfect chance to get up close and personal to equipment – such as mash tuns and fermentation tanks – you would generally not be able to do in other venues serving craft beers.
After the short and sweet tour, head back to your seats and find a paddle of six craft beers to try. The beer you get varies, depending on what the brewlab has on tap when you’re there. They are, after all, a small batch brewery.
But suffice to say, with a flight of six beers, you’re bound to get a good range of styles. During our session, we got to try a whole gamut ranging from lagers to pale ales, sours to stouts. Some collab seasonals were also given to us to taste.
Besides the tour and beers, the package is also inclusive of Lion Brewery Co merch and a discount while you’re there. Get 10% off regularly priced Thirty Six Brewlab and Smokehouse food items as tour participants, then head home with a branded pint glass and trucker cap too.
The Thirty Six Brewlab and Smokehouse brewery tour package costs S$80 nett per person, with groups of 2-4 required. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for brewery tour bookings.
