The timing couldn’t be better for 112-year-old whisky brand Chivas. As pandemic restrictions in Singapore almost completely dissipates, the blended Scotch label is now taking the opportunity to throw a boisterous event in celebration of its latest and biggest redesign ever.
From May 6-18, the I Rise, We Rise pop-up held at 150 Tyrwhitt Road (where Chye Seng Huat Hardware is) will play host to an eclectic variety of activities and showcases – ranging from DJ and dance battles to NFT panel discussions and AR experiences – that seek to have us associate Chivas with these bleeding edge concepts.
The highlight remains the spirit itself, of course, with tasting sessions, blending masterclass, and a pop-up cocktail bar available to satiate your thirst for Chivas whisky.

Of their whiskies, the Chivas 12 is stealing the limelight, with the brand’s flagship product redesign being unveiled, such as a taller bottle shape and richer shade of ruby. Importantly, the new design emphasises sustainability with its glass usage reduced by 1,000 tonnes annually, and with its outer packaging now made from fully recyclable materials.

The best way to experience the whiskies will be through a tasting session held by Chivas brand ambassador Anna Mitchell, where she will guide you along a tasting of four iconic blends from the house of Chivas Regal. This includes the iconic Chivas 18 and the bold new Chivas 12, as well as two twists to the Chivas formula with the Chivas Extra 13 American Rye Cask and Chivas XV.
For more advanced drinkers, go for the one-day-only blending masterclass. Also conducted by Mitchell herself, get to learn more about Chivas’ history as you taste five component whiskies that make up their blends, before proceeding to create your own blend using the Chivas Blending Kit provided.

If you’re simply looking to have a good time, the event’s got you covered with a plethora of activities. Play games and win prizes, attend a NFT talk or two, or boogie with party collective Ice Cream Sundays as DJs take over the CSHH courtyard with their funky tunes.
Tipplers should make a beeline for the pop-up bar, where an event-exclusive cocktail menu by an all-female bartender lineup awaits. Expect familiar names like Desiree Jane from Sago House, Hazel Long from Junior The Pocket Bar, and Juan Yijun from No Sleep Club to be dishing out cocktails that make good use of Chivas whisky.

Just be sure to register your interest online before heading down to the event. While it’s freely open for the public to attend, those who register first get to enjoy a complimentary Chivas highball and guaranteed entry. Activities such as the tasting sessions and blending masterclasses require a separate booking online too.
I Rise, We Rise takes place from May 6-18, 12pm-10pm daily at Chye Seng Huat Hardware, 150 Tyrwhitt Road.
