Three years since Kirin’s flagship Fuji line of Japanese whiskies first debuted in Japan, it has now made its official launch in Singapore through a partnership with local distributors Asiaeuro Wines & Spirits.
The range of Kirin Fuji whiskies being brought into Singapore include two core products – the Kirin Single Grain Whiskey Fuji and Kirin Single Blended Japanese Whisky – and two limited-edition releases – the Kirin Single Grain Whiskey Fuji 30 Years Old and Kirin Single Blended Japanese Whisky Fuji 2022 Masterpiece.

These spirits are all produced at Mt. Fuji Distillery located at the base of the famed eponymous mountain in Gotemba, Japan, where renowned master blender Jota Tanaka is at the helm.
The Kirin Single Grain Whiskey Fuji (RRP S$168) is the entry expression for the distillery. Made up of a blend of three different grain whiskies and matured entirely in American white oak barrels, find mellow notes of honey, orange jam, and dark chocolate with each sip.

Next in the core range is the Kirin Single Blended Japanese Whisky (RRP S$158). This bottling actually marks the very first single blended variant made and approved in Japan, with both malt and grain from the distillery used in its make for a rich yet silky dram.
The first of the two limited releases is the Kirin Single Grain Whiskey Fuji 30 Years Old (RRP $4800). Mt. Fuji Distillery’s oldest expression to-date, this award-winning bottling boasts pronounced dried and tropical fruit notes coupled with an alluringly profound finish. Only 120 bottles are made available in Singapore.

Then there’s the Kirin Single Blended Japanese Whisky Fuji 2022 Masterpiece (RRP S$2000). Originally a Japan exclusive, only 240 bottles are in stock here. The malt and grain blend stands apart from others in the range with use of 30-year-old whiskies blended with other whiskies aged in red wine and beer barrels.
Singapore marks the fourth official export market of Kirin Fuji whisky, after successful inroads into France, the US, and Australia by the Japanese manufacturer.
