For those into wines and spirits, Lunar New Year remains one of the most meaningful moments on the calendar. Beyond festive packaging, brands often release bottlings that connect symbolism with craftsmanship, offering expressions that feel thoughtful enough to gift, distinctive enough to collect, and inviting enough to open at the reunion table.

This year’s standout launches lean into storytelling and design, pairing zodiac-inspired visuals with flagship liquids. From immersive brand experiences to finely tuned gift sets, these three releases below capture the spirit of the Horse in ways that feel celebratory yet grounded, and made for toasting to the year ahead.

Glen Grant whisky

The Glen Grant’s Lunar New Year Collection takes a quiet, refined approach, spotlighting three single malts – its core 12-, 15- and 18-Year-Old bottlings – housed in elegant limited-edition gift boxes adorned with a horse motif. Each set includes two crafted glasses, a nod to the festive belief that good fortune comes in pairs. The presentation feels considered rather than ornate, allowing the distillery’s signature bright, fruit-led style to remain the hero.

Designed for different moments at the festive table, the trio offers various entry points for drinkers. The 12-Year-Old’s apple pie and caramel notes suit casual gatherings and classic snacks like pineapple tarts, while the 15-Year-Old’s spiced fruit and toffee profile pairs naturally with richer treats such as kueh bangkit. The 18-Year-Old brings added depth with malted caramel, vanilla, and dried fruit, making it suitable for slow sipping while had with bak kwa.

Martell cognac

Martell welcomes the Year of the Horse with limited-edition designs of Martell Cordon Bleu and Martell VSOP, drawing on the House’s long-standing association with the animal as a symbol of audacity and exploration. Created in collaboration with Chinese artist He Datian, the designs feature expressive brushstrokes that convey motion and vitality, rendered in auspicious reds, blues, and gold.

The celebration extends into The House of Martell, an immersive pop-up at ION Orchard from 5 to 12 February 2026. Inspired by the tradition of Chinese New Year house visiting, the experience blends art, calligraphy, festive rituals and tastings into a curated journey. From customised couplets to Martell-infused mandarin sorbet and rare Zodiac Edition displays, the pop-up adds an experiential layer as you pick up limited editions of the cognac as auspicious gifts.

Penfolds wine

Penfolds marks the Year of the Horse with its 2026 Lunar New Year gifting series, led by the iconic Grange and supported by its Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon, St Henri Shiraz, Bin 389 Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz, and FWT 585 Cabernet Merlot Petit Verdot. Across the range, the horse is interpreted as a symbol of strength and perseverance, expressed through layered artwork in red, gold, and jade meant to evoke movement and vitality.

The most elaborate presentation appears with Grange, whose bespoke gift box reveals intricate, paper-cut-inspired artwork through a lift-away design, before transforming into a Penfolds keyring keepsake. Elsewhere, Bin 389 is offered in both a 1.5L magnum gift format and a standard bottle featuring artwork directly on the glass, catering to both collectors and hosts planning festive feasts. Available in Singapore from January 2026 at select fine wine retailers such as 1855 Bottle Shop, Le Rouge, Moomba, and Cellarbration.
